How to select communications preferences in Pilera?
In this article we will show you how you (as a manager) to set your resident's communications preferences. These preferences are used for how residents would like to receive the community messaging that you send out.
With Pilera, residents can receive emails, phone or text. Email is included with our Basic communications package and phone and text is included if you upgrade to purchase communications credits. This article outlines how to select those preferences.
1. To view all of the communications preferences in a community you would go to the occupant listing page. There you will see on the right side of the screen symbols for email, phone and text. Anything that is highlighted in blue means it is selected as a communications preference. Your resident can choose as many communications preferences as they like, that just means they will receive the messages you send in that format.
1a. Another way to view the communications preferences for your community is to run a resident report. Go to "Reports", and "Resident Report". Select "Comms Pref" and your report will include the Communications Preferences for each of your residents.
2. To change or select a communications preference for your resident, click on their name and open up their profile page, then hit "Edit".
3. When you are in the editing screen towards the bottom you will see "Communications Preference". Choose all that apply by checking off that box.
4. You're done. You can check the Occupants listing page to confirm that your preferences have saved.
