Questions on Logging in to my VMS Portal through Pilera with SSO

Pilera introduced integration with VMS portals for residents and board members.  This article will answer commonly asked questions.

What is VMS, and why would I want to access it?

VMS is your management company's accounting software where they handle the community's finances. VMS may also provide other features that we are able to access thanks to this new integration.   For questions about the VMS portals, please reach out to your management company.

How do I login to the VMS Portal through Pilera?

You will see the login to your VMS portal right on your Pilera Dashboard.   Click on the "Sign in to VMS" button.  Your username will be auto-populated with your account number.   You may use your current VMS password to login.

What if I don't have a VMS portal password?

If you don't already have a password for your VMS portal, reach out to your management company and they will provide you with that.

Can I change my VMS Portal password?

Yes, you can change your VMS password.  You would do that from within the VMS portal though, not in Pilera.

Do I have to provide login credentials every time I login to the VMS portal from Pilera?

No, once you have created your initial login to the VMS portal through Pilera, you should not need to enter your login credentials again.

Will VMS have access to my Pilera login credentials?

No Pilera credentials or information will be shared with VMS.

I clicked on "Architectural" from Pilera, but when I was brought to the VMS Portal, it was a homepage, and not the "Architectural" page.

If you clicked on a specific request,  like  "Architectural" or 'Compliance" from the Pilera portal, but you are brought to the homepage in the VMS portal, you can simply click on the requested page from there.   This is not something that Pilera can remedy, but it easy to work around.
